Credit Union BoardReady Training
A Leadership Development Program that Prepares Professionals To be Strong Candidates for Serving on a Credit Union Board in their Communities
We are excited to announce a new leadership development opportunity for those interested in finding opportunities to serve on a credit union board. Our 2022 Credit Union BoardReady Training Series is designed to enhance your knowledge about credit unions with the goal of helping you to seek out, and successfully interview for, a credit union board position in your community.
The four-week Credit Union BoardReady sessions will take place weekly every Wednesday, beginning October 26, 2022 and ending November 16, 2022. Each session will be two hours. You will learn about the differences between credit unions and banks, how to read and understand a credit union’s balance sheet and income statements, the roles and responsibilities of board members, strategies to identify open board positions, and interviewing tips. We will also help you to craft a strong cover letter or letter of inquiry and provide helpful hints for strengthening your résumé to assist you in serving on a credit union board.
Please note there is a financial commitment of $350 associated with the program. Payment is due on or before October 24, 2022.
