Become a Member of the AACUC Today!

New Year. New Membership.

AACUC is migrating from an anniversary to a calendar membership year in 2025. This means membership benefits can be accessed between January 1 through December 31, making it easier for members to plan, budget and track their participation!

New members are welcome to join throughout the year. If you join as an Individual Member, Credit Union Member or Business Member after June 30, your membership will be discounted by 50%.

All membership can be renewed for the following year beginning in October through December 31.

Why join the AACUC?

The reasons to join AACUC are endless! One in 4 members join to be part of something greater, 1 in 5 members join for networking and 1 in 6 members join for career development.

AACUC supports programs that offer benefits for African-American and diverse credit union professionals and volunteers, credit unions, and credit union vendor partners. Affiliation with AACUC offers a unique opportunity to influence and shape the credit union movement and its governmental affairs while building skills, deepening core competencies and expanding personal networks. AACUC promotes personal and professional growth of its members through programs, events and volunteering and leadership opportunities.

How much does membership cost?

AACUC membership is available as an individual or organization. Check out this Membership Types Overview and additional graphic for a quick reference guide breaking down each membership type.

Individual Memberships are available based on your position with the organization:

Credit Union Memberships are based on asset size and include up to 100 employees as AACUC members:

Below $35 Million - $550
$35 Million to $49,999 Million - $850
$50 Million to $99,999 Million - $1,650
$100 Million to $249,999 Million - $2,150
$250 Million to $499,999 Million - $3,150
$500 Million to $999,999 Million - $4,150
$1 Billion and over - $5,150

Business Memberships are based on organization type and include up to 100 employees as AACUC members:

Corporation - $2,650
Credit Union League - $2,000
Trade Association - $2,650

Individual, Credit Union and Business Memberships received after June 30 are discounted by 50%.

Industry Partner is a variation of a Business Membership for organizations that provide in-kind services to AACUC and offer discounted services to AACUC members. Organizations pay a Corporation Membership rate ($2,650). Please contact membership@aacuc.org if you're interested in becoming an Industry Partner.

Corporate Partner is five-year commitment:

Sustaining - $25,000 annually - 250 members
Principal - $50,000 annually - 500 members
Chairman's Circle - $125,000 annually - unlimited members
Diamond - $250,000 annually - unlimited members
Legacy - $1M annually - unlimited members

How long does my membership last?

Should I join as an Individual or as an Organization?

Individual memberships and organization memberships are both welcome! Organization memberships provide more employees at your credit union or company to join -- up to 100 team members! Each organization membership, whether that's a Credit Union Membership or Business Membership, has a Primary Contact that manages their organization's member roster and overall membership including billing.

How do I get involved and volunteer?

Are membership, sponsorship, Corporate Partner and Industry Partner the same thing?

Not quite.

Membership is your affiliation -- either as an individual or through your organization -- with AACUC.

Sponsorship is an opportunity associated with an event, program or initiative, typically for an organization. For example, multiple sponsorships are available for the AACUC Annual Conference.

Corporate Partner is a combination of memberships and sponsor-type recognition for the organization. Recognition could include logo placement at events and within member communication. Corporate Partnerships typically include complimentary membership and registrations for AACUC programs. Corporate Partner agreements may vary by organization.

Industry Partner is a membership type that provides in-kind services to AACUC and offers discounted services to AACUC members. Organizations pay a Corporation Business Membership rate.
